Transportation
Air
Gardermoen Airport is the major international gateway to Norway.
Ground
#Ruter is the bus company throughout the Oslo area. We highly suggest downloading the #Ruter app on your phone, as you can purchase your fares and check schedules there.
Bus Route 400 is available between Gardermoen and Ask, takes about 40 minutes, and runs 24 hours a day (with the exception of 01:00-05:00)
Train service can be had to and from Oslo S to locations throughout Norway. If you’re coming all this way, why not have a bit of an adventure before or after the event?
There is ample parking throughout the town of Ask.
Hotels
If you have access to your own private transportation, NSG has brokered a deal with the Lily Country Club for the NSG Fall event.
Lily Country Club is located in Kløfta, which is about 10 minutes away from the venue by car.
There is no bus service or public transportation option between the hotel and the venue.
We get a 15% discount on rooms by using discount code PARTNER15
The room includes breakfast and a 90 minute spa entrance at the hotel. Â
If you do not have access to private transportation, we suggest staying at a hotel or airbnb that is convenient to the route 400 bus, as it is the only method of mass-transit in and out of Ask.
There are reasonably priced hotels adjacent to Gardermoen airport which are directly on the bus line. These include:
- Comfort Hotel Runway
- Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport
- Best Western Plus Oslo Airport
- Scandic Oslo Airport
- Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport Hotel West
- Radisson Blu Airport Hotel
- Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Oslo Airport
- Radisson Red Oslo Airport
There are also several hotels along the southern route between Ask and Oslo, and hundreds of options in Oslo city itself. If you are looking to see more than just the venue and event while you’re in town, you may want to consider one of these choices as well.

Electricity
Norwegian outlets have a 220V / 50Hz current and a Euro-type plug.
In order to guarantee enough outlets for consoles, chargers etc you should bring a long (3m) power strip with 4 to 6 outlets from your home country and an international adaptor.
If you are sharing a hotel, you might want to bring another to make sure there are enough charging outlets (hotels usually only have 1-2 per room).
Important note for North American & Japanese Electronics:
If you are coming from North America or Japan where the electricity system is 110V / 60Hz you may DESTROY anything you plug into the Norwegian outlets without a proper voltage convertor.
Most laptop chargers and cell phone chargers are compatible with both systems, but it is common for consoles to be single region only.
If you are at all uncertain, find someone who can assist you and ask questions in Discord.
Money and Valuables
Norway uses the Norwegian Crown (NOK). For an easy conversion, you can approximately divide by 10 to get the Euro value. Norway is now a majority card-based economy, and every store and kiosk takes cards. Before you go, organize a variety of ways to access your money, such as credit cards, cash, debit cards or travel cards.
Foreign cash is very rarely accepted in Norway, and most transactions take place using European cards. We strongly advise obtaining a pre-paid international spending card or credit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo if you do not already have one, as these are most widely accepted.
Your passport is a valuable document that is attractive to criminals who may try to use your identity to commit crimes. It should always be kept in a safe place. If your passport is lost or stolen, you must immediately report it to both the local police and the embassy of your country who can arrange for an emergency replacement.
You should bring with you a supply for all prescription medication you require, and if traveling from outside the EU, a prescription showing that you require it. Please check that your medicine is legal to bring into Norway before travel.
